Letter From HMRC
I got home the other night to find an envelope from HMRC. That’s what you want isn’t it, I thought, what are they after now?
So with some trepidation, a bit like that guilty feeling when you see a copper even though you know you were going under 30mph, I opened the envelope, took out the letter and read…
“Make sure you complete your online tax return as early as possible”
Phew…
So, HMRC is spending £000s on sending paper reminders to tax payers who already file their tax returns online to say file your tax online. And that’s it.
If you’ve received this letter and you’ve subscribed to any of our Business Plans, then file it and worry not. When the company trading year ends, we’ll write to you to ask for what we need to prepare your company accounts, company tax returns and your personal tax return and by when. Nothing, then, to do right now. When on the other hand, I write to you to say you need to give us stuff to complete your tax return as early as possible, that is when you need to act!
