Meet the Team
Rhiannon
Rhian is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has been working in practice for twenty years. In that time, she has had to count heifers, value billiard tables and audit investments in Bermuda. Rhian leads the firm’s delivery of tax, accounts and audit services. She also knows about starting a company from scratch, running a firm and the joys and stresses of growing a business and so she can fully understand the issues facing your business. As a local girl, Rhian made a deliberate choice in setting up in Blackwood, believing that there is a lot of potential in the Valleys and by bringing her skills and experience together with that entrepreneurial drive, she can make a real contribution to the local economy. Rhiannon is married to Paul and they have two children together. In her spare time, Rhiannon enjoys spending time with her family.

Paul
Paul, by contrast, has worked mostly in big organisations across central government and blue chip financial services, defence and media organisations. Now working with Rhian, Paul has added complementary business management services to the firm’s portfolio including start up advice, business planning, process review, management accounts and reporting. Paul enjoys football and supports his hometown team Portsmouth. Father of five(!) Paul’s favourite time of the year is the annual family holiday where everyone heads to France.
Tim
A chartered accountant with twenty years of invaluable experience in financial accounting and reporting, Tim (like Paul) has worked mostly in larger organisations across central government and media-based companies. Tim spent over eight years at the BBC during which time he covered a variety of roles – and still didn’t get in front of the camera! But if you’re looking for help with cost control, financial analysis and management reporting, budgeting and business planning or project management, Tim’s your man. Having been born and bred in the local area Tim is enjoying working in Blackwood once again. He is married with two children and is an active member of the community serving on the management committees of a number of local organisations. Tim has also recently embarked upon a lecturing career teaching Level 4 AAT (on a part-time basis) to a number of students at Coleg Gwent.
Kerri
Kerri is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has made a great contribution to Stanford Williams, bringing years of experience of working with a variety of client types. Kerri heads up our High Street Accountant services. She is well versed in all areas, including payroll, self assessment, CIS and limited companies. She is friendly, approachable and on the ball. Kerri is married with two boys and spends her weekends standing at the side lines supporting the boys at football. As she is there most of the time, she also acts as Treasurer to Blackwood Town FC.
Ellen
Ellen is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has been working as a qualified accountant in practice for more than twenty years. During her career Ellen has worked with all types of business, from sole traders to large plcs, and has extensive experience in all areas of financial management and reporting. As a member of the Stanford Williams team Ellen’s main focus is to deliver accounts and tax services to clients, and offer on-going support and advice to our wide client base. Ellen is married with two children and lives locally – no excuses on snow days!
Lucy
Lucy is an accounting technician, who will graduate later this year and is currently studying to become a chartered accountant. She joined our team in 2017 and in this time has gained a good knowledge of taxation and accounts preparation. Everyday is different and Lucy loves being kept on her toes. In her spare time (after studying) Lucy enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring new cultures across the world.
Emily
Emily is the youngest member of the team. Since joining us from school in the summer of 2018, Emily has been very keen in getting to know what being an accountant entails. She has developed a great relationship – both professional and friendly – our clients. Currently studying AAT part time at Coleg Y Cymoedd, Emily has just finished her first year. Outside of the office Emily enjoys sport and especially motorsports. She’s quite the petrolhead! Emily is also a fluent Welsh speaker and is happy to provide you our services in Welsh.
